The Position Monitor is a portfolio cockpit: an on-chart 8×8 grid that shows all your open positions across the 28 major pairs and the 8 currency baskets in one place, plus one-click bulk actions to reduce or close the whole book.
It complements AutoQuickTrade: AutoQuickTrade opens and manages positions per pair / basket, the Monitor gives you the overview and the account-wide controls. It reads the account — it does not open new trades.
The 28 cross cells are the 28 major pairs. Each cell aggregates all open positions on that pair (all pyramid layers, both directions) into one net figure.
The 8 diagonal cells are the currency baskets (#EUR … #JPY). B:n shows how many positions belong to that currency's basket.
A teal ring around a pair cell means its stack is secured at or above net break-even: if every leg's stop-loss were hit right now, the sum across all legs would net ≥ 0 (after estimated commission and swap).
Judged over all legs together. Example: three EURUSD layers at +10 / +16 / −20 pips — the frame looks at the sum, so the winners can carry the loser and the cell still counts as secured.
A naked leg (the "S" marker) → never framed (open downside). A pending frame takes precedence over the teal one on the same cell.
The line under the matrix has two zones:
7 positions | +27.8p | net: +56.31 (c:12.82) K(E) SL 1.42%
c:). Counts of no-SL and pending appear only when > 0, to keep the strip clean.K(E) or K(B) shows the reference (day-start Equity or Balance), then the headroom to the nearest trigger in % of equity. It turns amber once less than a quarter of the configured distance is left. The footer carries the account figures and the one-click controls (all across the current Magic filter):
HIDE privacy toggle ALLPROFITLOSS close all / profitable / losing -25%-50% bulk partial close
CONFIRM? after the first click. The partial close is lot-safe: a position is skipped if the closed part or the remainder would fall below the broker minimum lot.HIDE replaces the money values (balance, equity, delta, and the net figure) with ***. Pips stay visible. Ideal for screenshots and streaming without exposing account size.
Magic Number filter scopes the whole Monitor — matrix, net total and bulk actions — to one strategy:
Click any cell to open (or focus) that symbol's chart on the Timeframe to open on click, using your Chart template if set. Jump straight from the overview to the pair you want to manage in AutoQuickTrade.
An account-level stop that sits above every individual SL: when equity reaches a threshold, the monitor closes everything (all symbols, all magics the filter covers, pending orders included), raises an alert, and then disarms for the rest of the day. It re-arms automatically at the next day rollover. All four thresholds default to 0 = off.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Reference | KILL_REF_DAYEQ = equity at the start of the trading day — a true daily loss cap (prop-firm semantics; realised losses count against it). KILL_REF_BALANCE = live balance — protects the current batch, the level follows the balance after each close. |
| Day reset hour | Server time. 0 = broker midnight. Shift it to match your prop firm's daily reset (broker GMT+3 vs. a CET reset → 2). |
| Equity SL / TP % | Percent below / above the reference. |
| Equity SL / TP absolute | Fixed equity marks, independent of the reference. |
Which reference? A worked example. Day starts at 100,000 with an Equity SL of 2%:
| Step | KILL_REF_DAYEQ | KILL_REF_BALANCE |
|---|---|---|
| Threshold in the morning | 98,000 | 98,000 |
| You realise −1,500 | stays 98,000 | balance 98,500 → threshold 96,530 |
| Further loss still possible | only −500 | another −1,970 |
| Daily loss capped? | Yes — at 2% for the whole day | No — each close resets the budget |
In short: DAYEQ is a real daily limit — realised losses count against it and the cap holds all day (this is what prop firms measure). BALANCE protects the current batch: after every close the measurement restarts from where you stand, so the level trails your profits upward — but it also follows losses down. Use DAYEQ for a funded account, BALANCE when you just want to protect the trades that are open right now.
Changing a threshold re-arms it. Editing any kill-switch setting is a deliberate act, so a fired trigger is cleared and the switch goes live again (the day anchor is kept). Simply carrying on trading does not re-arm it — that is the point of the one-shot design.
When it fires, the right zone names the trigger: ! KILL SL -2.00% HIT in red, or KILL TP abs HIT in green — a reached target is not an alarm.
